Abstract
A Hamiltonian formulation of the guiding centre drift equations valid for stochastic fields is given. Modification of neoclassical transport due to imperfect magnetic surfaces is investigated numerically. For banana-trapped particles a discrete map representation is given for the orbits and used to study loss of banana-trapped α-particles due to ripple fields.
